Jackson Pollock

I have to agree that my thoughts about the splattering paintings on canvas were very different from then to now.  I have recently grown to appreciate art more as I am taking more classes this summer.   Human Figure Drawing Art was among one of the classes I have become excellent in.  I could hardly draw the figure of a skeleton itself, but when you have a naked human being in front of you, it really makes your visual on how to draw, much better.  Now as for Jackson’s work, I have watched director Ed Harris’s movie “Pollock” and I must say as him playing the actor himself was magnificent. Despite his personal life on how he was brought up by his mother and how she raised him to produce art along with his brothers, he was such an inspiration to me in so many ways.  Being that I am very critical when it comes to art and what defines my style is commercially selfish, but after i saw how he discovered his talent, I saw that you can do so many things in your own way and be recognized for it.  As for many artists who get recognized later after producing art for so many years is tough.  Knowing people who can help you get recognized is great but, the artist and their work itself tells it’s story alone. I wanted to show you some of his art that took place during abstract expressionist movement.
